Listen to my Podcast Interview: Learn More about Hypnosis and Neurodiversity Coaching!

Coaching and hypnosis complement each other: values coaching helps you to figure out the best direction or step to take, and why and how to do that. But despite knowing how to take action, you often have unresolved emotions stuck in your subconscious, preventing you from actually taking the necessary steps. Releasing that emotional burden during hypnosis allows you to finally take action toward a more fulfilling life.

Yes, I offer coaching-only sessions. As a neurodiversity-affirming coach, I use powerful frameworks like Heather Morgan’s values-based integration process for unmasking and learning to live authentically. By focusing on your strengths, we address your challenges in the most effective way while also supporting your autonomy.

A typical session has two parts: coaching and hypnosis. The first part is coaching, where I get to know you a bit and we discuss how your challenges affect your everyday life. The second part is hypnosis, which is a state of deep relaxation, like a guided meditation. Hypnosis starts with progressive muscle relaxation, followed by imagination exercises, emotional release, and empowerment processes. After the hypnosis, we spend a few minutes processing your experience.

I offer hypnosis that addresses emotional wounds, as well as spiritual hypnosis. Hypnosis for emotional difficulties can be used to address challenges such as self sabotage, perfectionism, or overwhelm. Spiritual hypnosis is for those who are interested in spiritual exploration or discovering their life purpose; it is the longest type of session since it requires people to go deeper into the experience.

For sessions that have both coaching and hypnosis, most clients have 1-3 sessions. Coaching-only sessions often range from 3-6 sessions. However, one session can sometimes be enough if your challenge is not as deeply ingrained or you process very quickly. Sometimes many more sessions are necessary for those who want to address more than one difficulty, or need more time to process.

Unwanted habits and behaviors, fears, and limiting beliefs–such as self doubt, self sabotage, and perfectionism–are a result of unprocessed emotions that are trapped in your subconscious. Hypnosis allows you to access your subconscious to release those emotional burdens you’ve been carrying and reprogram your beliefs so that you break free from what’s holding you back.

No, during hypnosis you have full control the whole time, you’re aware, and you remember your session. This is not stage hypnosis—the purpose of the hypnosis process is to help you improve your quality of life by making wanted changes.

Hypnosis is like a guided meditation, but with a goal such as greater confidence or being present. It’s a state of deep relaxation, giving your nervous system a break from the bombardment of frenetic modern life.

There is no wrong way to have a hypnosis experience. Everyone goes through hypnosis daily when they’re waking up in the morning and falling asleep at night. Not everyone can see things visually in their experiences. You may see, feel, or sense information, or things may just pop in your head—however your experience comes to you, it’s just right. Your subconscious will show you what you need to know, whether it’s in vivid color or simply words or vague impressions coming into your mind.

You can ask me or tell me anything you want to tell me during hypnosis. Getting up to use the bathroom is not a problem since you go back into the hypnosis more deeply than before upon returning. If anything is bothering you, such as you’re cold and need a blanket, I’m guiding you too fast or too slow, or outside sounds are bothering you, just let me know and I will address the issue.

Immediately after hypnosis, people usually feel like they just woke up from sleeping, and it takes about 5-10 minutes to become fully alert. We talk for a few minutes after the hypnosis in order for you to process your session as well as give you time to wake up before driving.

People don’t usually fall asleep, but they sometimes do if they’re particularly tired or sleepy that day. It’s no problem if you fall asleep, as I’ll gently wake you up and we can easily pick back up where we left off in the session.

I have free eye masks available for you to use during the session and that you can take home.

It’s usually 45 min to 1 hour, but can be more or less depending on what’s needed at the time and how much time was necessary for the talking portion of the session.

Identifying your values through key memories in your life allows you to fine-tune what is important to you in life. The process of interrogating difficulties that come up in your life currently against your true values gives you clarity on how to align your life with what matters most to you.
